Writing is a passion I developed in late middle school. Having been a child with many daydreams and ideas, I found art didn't get the full stories within my mind down. Creative writing in English classes really brought out what I had been wanting to achieve. Since then I've been honing my craft with fanfiction, along with some original stories brewing on the horizon.

A gasp escaped his lips as the freezing cold water hit his face, snapping him back into the moment. He held his palms out again, collecting more. His breathing was gradually slowing, muscles loosening as he forced himself to calm down.

He was okay, everything was alright.
Nothing can hurt him here.

Jake watched uneasy, confused by the creature's behavior. Did they know he was there? Why weren't they chasing him or moving on to continue searching? Hearing the Wraith speak was the last thing he expected, Jake suspected they may not even have the ability to speak. All he ever he heard were gurgles and grunts from it.
